School discounts
We are pleased to be able offer school’s generous discounts on selected productions and performances, so that your students can experience the best in live theatre at an accessible price.
Our team are there to make your visit as easy as possible, providing you with everything that you need to make your trip a success.
The following institutions and groups are eligible for the school discounts:
- Secondary schools
- Primary schools
- SEN schools
- Further Education Colleges offering full-time publicly-funded courses (A-level equivalent) for 16-18 year olds.
In most cases, we offer one complimentary ticket for teachers for every ten paid student tickets. We require a minimum of one member of school staff to every 10 pupils.
Making your booking
To make your booking, we require a school billing address and verified school email address. We ask that you do not make a school booking on a personal account. This is so we can ensure that the children can be properly safeguarded, and your visit runs smoothly.
Please be aware that we may require you to provide your school’s unique reference number when making your booking.

Eligibility
For bookings made without a verified school email address, your booking will be treated as a standard group booking and will be eligible for that discount.
In the instance of home schooling where you cannot provide an official school email address, we require a minimum of 10 pupils (and one teacher) to apply your school discount. If the number of adults within your booking exceeds the number of children, your booking will be treated as a standard group booking and will be eligible for our Groups discount.
Please note: These discounts are specifically for pupils and teachers attending on school trips and are not to be used by extended families.
If your group isn’t eligible for schools discounts, we offer significant discounts on selected performances for groups of 10+ for most productions at The Marlowe. Please speak to our Box Office team and we’ll find the best price possible for you.
