Our members events offer something for everyone, and one of the ways like to thank our Marlowe supporters for their invaluable input in making special things happen.
The events are a lovely way you can build a closer relationship with the theatre, its work and its people. Members can enjoy a variety of exclusive insights into life behind the scenes or a glittering celebration of a special occasion.
So far in 2018…
The inaugural Directors Preview Lunch took place in January in The Barretts Bar. Marlowe Champions, Benefactors and Creative Circle were treated to a special insight into the year ahead from Jonathan Church, Chairman of The Marlowe Trust, and Paula Gillespie, Acting Theatre Director.
In May we staged our first Annual Supporters Dinner, which was a celebration of Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella, where guests dined in The Studio – which was transformed to reflect the beautiful production – and enjoyed a talk from Matthew Bourne.
In June special guests joined us at Canterbury Cathedral – Deanery then Nave – for the launch of Laureate Lemn Sissay’s Poem For Canterbury. Soon everyone visiting the theatre will enjoy the poem as a projection on to the bridge.
You can find forthcoming dates on our events page, and below are images of some of the highlights of recent events.
