We provide world-class education and performance opportunities for both teachers and students.
These opportunities can create networks with other local schools, support career development and help you inspire your young people.
We have a selection of offerings for schools, young visitors and associate schools programmes which you can browse by using the menu.
The Marlowe Young Visitors Programme
Our young visitors’ programme for schools offers immersive, cross-curricular activities, developed with teachers.
With sessions taking place in The Marlowe Kit, our live museum and playhouse, your students will learn more about the restless world of Shakespeare, Marlowe and Elizabeth I with learning that crosses a range of subjects. Sessions support creative, performative and written outcomes with a range of supporting resources. This will be available from Spring 2019.
The Marlowe Associate Schools Programme
Our programme run in partnership with the Royal Shakespeare Company to develop and improve access to Shakespeare.
The Marlowe Associate Schools Programme is targeted towards schools who want to develop and improve access to Shakespeare, and to deliver the best teaching in the classroom through active drama techniques.
Through the Associate Schools Programme we’ve been able to offer fantastic development training for teachers across the county.
For students, the programme involves dynamic ways to learn about Shakespeare, artist-led projects, and performance opportunities on our stages, in our local community and at the RSC in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
The Marlowe Dance Network
The Marlowe Dance Network is a project that partners with schools, teachers and dance professionals to support the development of dance in Kent and the south east of England.
The network offers a year round programme of creative learning opportunities, including the chance to join hundreds of young people in performing on The Marlowe’s stages and to work with world-class companies such as Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures.
We offer group discounts for schools on many of our shows. Get in touch with our group sales team on 01227 787787.
The Marlowe Teachers & Schools Programme is kindly supported by The Samuel Feldman NEC Fund.
