Accessible Performances
Our accessible performances, also called enhanced performances, are intended to remove barriers you might face.
We offer five types of accessible performances at the Marlowe Theatre on a range of productions. We have Audio Described performances, British Sign Language performances, Captioned performances, Relaxed performances and Chilled performances.
To ensure the best view of the screens or interpreter remains available to those who need it, we retain a limited number of the best seats for Captioned and BSL performances, bookable by those with the Audible Information symbol. Captioned performance seats are indicated by an “OC” symbol, and BSL performance seats are indicated by a hearing aid symbol. If these seats are not available, or you would prefer to sit elsewhere, you will still receive any relevant discounts.
To help us better understand which accessible performances to offer, we are seeking your feedback on preferred genres and showtimes. Please take a moment to complete our short anonymous survey. Whilst we can’t guarantee that all suggestions will be implemented, your responses will help guide our planning and ensure we continue to develop an inclusive programme at the Marlowe Theatre.
