There are three ways to book tickets to the Marlowe: Online from this website – The quickest and easiest way to book. To get started, visit our What’s On page. By phone – Call 01227 787787 (10am-5pm Mon-Sat). Lines are generally busier in the morning, so try and call after lunch if you can. In person – Visit our Box Office in the foyer, open from 10am until 5pm daily (except Sundays) or until the start of a show, whichever is later.

Discounted tickets are available to selected shows at the Marlowe: Marlowe Friends – Our members get access to generous discounts to most shows, with priority booking and other exclusive offers. To join them, sign up today. Multi-buy tickets – Many Marlowe shows are part of a multi-buy offer. If you book 3+ multi-buy shows at the same time, you’ll receive a 15% discount on all tickets – or 20% if you’re a Marlowe member. Find all multi-buy shows by using the filters on the What’s On page, and see our terms and conditions for full details. Discovery Tickets – Young people aged 16-26 benefit from Discovery Tickets, priced at just £15 for selected shows – scroll down for details. Group bookings – Ticket discounts are available for group bookings (10+) and school parties. Access bookers – Our Access Scheme offers discounts for selected performances and ticket types.

We accept all major cards except American Express.

You must pay for all tickets in full when you book – with the exception of group bookings (10+ people), which must be paid in full two months before the show.

If you select the e-tickets option when booking, we’ll email your tickets to you as a PDF attachment. You don’t need to collect tickets from the Box Office or even print them out – simply show them on your mobile device when you arrive. If you have a mobile phone number registered on your account, we’ll send you a text message on the day of the performance with a link to add your ticket to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, making it even easier to access when you arrive. The same link can also be used to pre-order interval drinks and refreshments, helping you spend less time queuing and more time enjoying the show. If you can’t find the email with your tickets, don’t worry – simply log in to your Account Area, where you can view and download your tickets again at any time.

If you’ve chosen to receive physical tickets in the post rather than e-tickets, they should arrive within seven working days. If the show takes place sooner than this, select the option to pick up your tickets at the Box Office.

Tickets for most shows in our Main House are available in different pricing bands. You can see a seat map of the auditorium on this page.

We try to avoid leaving single seats because most customers visit with other people and like to sit with their companions. However, we may occasionally leave single seats to accommodate customers with particular access needs.

We don’t offer refunds unless a show is cancelled. However, you can exchange your tickets to a different performance of the same show (subject to availability) by contacting our Box Office up to five days in advance. There’ll be a small charge for this service.

If you return tickets for a sold-out show, we’ll endeavour to resell them through our Box Office. If we do so, you’ll be refunded to your original payment method minus a service charge of £3 per ticket.

We don’t accept national Theatre Tokens – but you can use Marlowe Gift Vouchers, which can be redeemed against shows in both our theatres as well as in the Green Room Restaurant and Café. Scroll down to buy vouchers for the culture-lover in your life.

If you received e-tickets and can’t find your booking email, simply log in to your Marlowe account to download them again. If you chose to receive physical tickets and have lost them, visit the Box Office on the day of the performance with proof of your ID and we’ll reprint them for you. Please note that we don’t send out duplicate tickets by post.

We’re happy to accommodate group bookings, with discounts of up to 10% for bookings of 10+ people and up to 15% for bookings of 25+ tickets. To read more and make a group booking enquiry, visit this dedicated page.

If the running time for your show isn’t listed on the show page of this website, call our Box Office on 01227 787787 and select option 1 for details.

The Marlowe presents five main types of access performance: audio-described performances, British Sign Language (BSL) performances, captioned performances, chilled and relaxed performances. Discover more about them and see what’s on via our dedicated Access Performances page.

If a show contains a specific age recommendation, it will be listed on the relevant show page of this website. Regardless of any age guidance, all children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting the Marlowe.

We have a limited number of free lap tickets for children aged under 18 months. When they’ve sold out, parents or carers will need to buy a ticket at the lowest available price to bring any children aged under 18 months.
