Help us ensure everyone in Kent can experience the joys of creativity and culture.
Trusts and foundations help us to bring more art and more creative opportunities to more people across Canterbury and Kent.
The Marlowe’s work isn’t limited to the shows that audiences see in our Main House and Studio theatres. Away from the spotlight, we work widely with young people and emerging artists from across our region and beyond, nurturing skills and supporting creativity – and the scale and scope of this work is only made possible through the generous support of local, regional and national trusts and foundations.
Your support can help our work in many vital areas:
Nurturing the creative lives of young people
We provide creative and cultural opportunities to young people from across our region – providing safe and supportive spaces where they can build core skills, connect with new communities and develop their creative lives.
Developing tomorrow’s creative workforce
We offer a comprehensive vocational training programme, setting out a practical pathway for young people from across Kent to develop their creative and technical skills, gain real-world experience in our industry – and progress towards further training, employment and future careers in the performing arts.
Supporting the writers and artists of the future
We’re proud to be the home of new writing in Kent. Through our Writers’ Room and other creative development programmes, we’re building and growing a network of locally-based artists and writers at all stages of their careers – nurturing a talent pool of creatives that will provide great creative benefits to our region.
Improving access for all
We work hard to make the Marlowe inclusive and accessible to all, offering a wide range of access performances – but there’s always room to improve. By listening to and collaborating with groups and communities from across society, we’re looking to improve our accessibility provisions – with enhanced performances and subsidised tickets just two of the ways we’re helping to ensure everyone in our region can experience the magic of live performance.
