The Marlowe Bursary Award
Providing financial assistance for dedicated and passionate young people to join the Marlowe Youth Company.
The Marlowe Youth Company provides young people with life-enhancing opportunities to express themselves, boost their confidence, and develop skills in performing, in a fun, inclusive and friendly environment.
The Marlowe Bursary Award offers places in the company for young people between the ages of 7 and 17 living in Kent who are interested in joining, but for whom cost would be a barrier.
Who can apply?
- Young people between the ages of 7 and 17yrs living in Kent, with a genuine interest in performing, but for whom cost would be a barrier to joining the Marlowe Youth Company. Please download our application form for a list of things that make participants eligible for financial support.
- You can already be taking part in the Marlowe Youth Company and wish to re-join or be joining for the first time.
- You must be able to commit to taking part in Marlowe Youth Company activities for a full academic year. The current intake will cover September 2024 – July 2025. Full term dates date be found on our participant notice board.
How do I apply?
Applications for 2024-25 are open from Thursday 6 June – Monday 15 July 2024. You can now download and complete our application form here. There are paper copies of the form at our Box Office if you can’t access it on a computer.
If you will be 14 or over in September 2024, please note that we have two options for different groups you could join. Check the descriptions on the website and think about which one suits you best. If you are interested in joining the Performance Ensemble, you will need to complete a separate application form, attend a workshop audition, and be selected for this group.
