Marlowe Theatre Sparks (Years 4-6)
Marlowe Theatre Sparks develops theatre skills through storytelling, performance, design and collaborative projects.
Across the academic year, participants explore voice, movement, character and improvisation while developing their ability to work as part of an ensemble. Through practical projects and creative challenges, they build confidence in performing, contribute their own ideas and discover different ways theatre can be made.
Participants share their work with family audiences termly, gaining experience in creating and presenting performance for others.
Where demand exceeds available places, the organisation uses a contextual priority framework to improve equitable access for young people who may face structural barriers to participation. Factors may include local postcode data, school context and optional demographic information. No single factor guarantees a place, and allocations are made using consistent and transparent criteria.
All Youth Company members have discounted tickets to selected shows at the Marlowe Theatre and will have the opportunity to join a supervised theatre trip at least twice in the academic year.
