Audio Described Performances
At our Audio Described Performances, live commentary of our shows is available via a personal headset. This service aims to bring theatre to life for our blind and partially sighted audience members.
If you are interested in booking Audio Described performances at the Marlowe Theatre, please sign up to our Access Scheme.
Touch Tours at the Marlowe Theatre
Touch tours give customers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world presented on stage by touching parts of the set, props and costumes. They often take place on our stage before an Audio Described Performance. If you sign up as an Audio Described Performance Booker, we will email or phone you before a performance to let you know when a touch tour is available.
Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome in our building, Main Auditorium and Studio. We also offer dog sitting at Stage Door during the performance. Please get in touch at least one day in advance of your visit if you would like to find out more or book this service.
How do I use your audio description headsets?
Our audio description headphones come with a medallion that you wear around your neck. When you arrive at our Box Office, we will switch on your audio description headset and a member of Box Office staff will explain how it works. You can also download our How to use our Headsets at an Audio Described Performance instructions.
