Headlining the show is Ian Smith, as seen on Live at the Apollo, Have I got News for You and 8 out of 10 Cats does Countdown. Ian Smith is a multi-award winning comedian, actor and writer who this year was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for the second time.
Our MC for the night is Lorna Rose Treen, an award-winning character comedian, writer, actor and improviser. Lorna is on the writing team for SNL UK and will soon be seen in BBC One’s upcoming series, The Reluctant Vampire. Her latest Edinburgh Fringe show 24 Hour Diner People received rave reviews and had a sold-out extended run.
Opening the show is Fathiya Saleh, a stand-up comedian, writer, actor and producer whose charming, confident and refreshingly honest comedy has made her a fast-rising presence on the UK circuit. Described by Chortle as “an absolute delight,” her work draws on cultural identity, family life and the everyday contradictions of growing up in modern Britain.
In the middle slot is actor, writer and comedian, Ele McKenzie. Ele is an alumnus of The Pleasance Comedy Reserve and can be seen in BBC Three’s RTS nominated Funboys, Channel 4’s BAFTA nominated Peaked and Everyone Else Burns, and Dave’s Live at the Moth Club.
