Virtual Recruitment Open Day FAQs

How do I join the open day?
Once you book your e-ticket, we will send you an email explaining what you need to do. The first link will be for an introduction to the open day, where you will hear more about working at The Marlowe. There will also be other links in the email for role-related FAQ sessions that you can attend, giving you the chance  to ask questions about the specific jobs that we are advertising.

Will I be visible on the screen?
You will not be visible on the screen throughout the event, but you can submit your questions through the chat function.

How far in advance will I be sent the link to the meeting room?
You will receive an email explaining what to do in plenty of time before the event.

Will there be in-person open day events as well as the online one?
In the future, we will certainly be planning in-person open day events but, due to the pandemic, we are currently unable to do this.

Why do I have to set up a theatre account? Why do I have to book a ticket and will you keep my data?
We are using the same ticketing software that we use to book tickets for our performances. This allows us to communicate easily with those that have booked. Your data will be held on our system, but we can remove your details if you wish (find out more about our Privacy Policy).

Do I have to pay to attend the event?
No, attendance for the open day is free.

How long will the event last?
The open day will last for roughly an hour.

What if I’m not interested in these positions, but I want to work for the theatre in the future?
You can still attend the open day, as there will be staff in the main event room who will be happy to answer any questions you may have about working at The Marlowe. We are also planning to run similar events in the future, as we recruit for more positions.

Am I obliged to attend if I register my interest?
You are under no obligation to attend even if you have set up an account and registered with us.
However, if you are looking for a career at The Marlowe, attending open days is a great way of meeting the staff and understanding what working with us is like.

Can I join using someone else’s link?
Please join using the link provided to you through booking on our website. This allows us to know who is attending, and it allows us to keep you up to date with any similar events that may take place in the future.
