Live at the Marlowe

Simon Amstell headlines our unmissable night of live comedy.

Our hugely popular night of live comedy is back, featuring some of the country’s biggest stars of the future.

Headlining is comedian, presenter, screenwriter, and director, Simon Amstell. As a presenter, Simon has fronted hugely popular programmes such as Channel 4’s Popworld and Never Mind the Buzzcocks for BBC Two. Simon was the youngest finalist of the BBC New Comedy Awards and has since won an RTS Award, a Broadcast Award, two British Comedy Awards and has been nominated for a BAFTA.

Our host for the evening is Phil Ellis, an award-winning comedian who became an instant fan-favourite during his appearance on Series 20 of Taskmaster (Channel 4). A well regarded ‘comedian’s comedian’, Ellis remarked that he was ‘the least well-known person’ to appear on Taskmaster but quickly captured the attention of audiences with his amalgamation of off-beat observational material and physical comedy. Phil’s stand-up shows were included in the top 20 best-reviewed shows of the Edinburgh Fringe for 2024 and 2025.

Also on the line-up is Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee and host of Trusty Hogs podcast, Helen Bauer, one of the UK’s most exciting rising stand-up stars, known for being a comedy powerhouse with an electric stage presence.

Completing the line-up is Larry Dean, an award-winning comedian, writer and actor. Larry has thrice been nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Awards for his sellout, critically acclaimed solo stand-up shows.

Please note that line-ups are subject to change.
