Fern Brady headlines our hugely popular night of live comedy.
Taskmaster fan-favourite Fern Brady is known for her caustic wit, exceptional writing and electric stagecraft. This June, she headlines our hilarious evening of stand-up comedy.
Fern’s debut memoir Strong Female Character discusses everything from her Catholic upbringing to homelessness and her late diagnosis of autism – and is a Sunday Times Bestseller! Fern has also been seen on hit shows such as The Russell Howard Hour, Live at the Apollo and Live from the BBC.
Winner of English Comedian of the Year and the Birmingham Breaking Talent Award, Josh Pugh will also be joining the line up. Known for his frequent viral hit videos such as ‘Inventing the four cheese pizza’, he was also nominated for Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show Sausage, Egg, Josh Pugh Chips & Beans. appearances include Live at the Apollo, QI, and Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza.
Finalist at Rising Star New Comedian of the Year, Go New York at South Ken Comedy Club and the Max Turner Award and semi-finalist at Get Up! Stand Up! New Comedian of the Year, Raj Poojara is a comedy newcomer taking the UK live circuit by storm. In fact, his first performance at London’s Backyard Comedy Club went so well that his second gig was in front of a sold-out theatre as a headline’s opening act.
The evening will be hosted by Alex Haddow. A stalwart of the festival scene, Alexandra has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Reading and Leeds, and has supported comedy icons Frankie Boyle and Bill Bailey. Appearing on Comedy Central Live, with radio credits including BBC6 Music, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club, the Moon Under Water, Fit and Proper podcasts and on the series Save Our Beautiful Game with Peter Crouch, Alex also runs the cult club night, Indie Amnesty, which has held sold out shows in London, Barcelona, Margate and Glasgow.
