The Marlowe
Youth Voice

Youth Voice

Youth Voice is a dynamic group of young people who help shape the future of the Marlowe Theatre.

We’re committed to being a place where young people feel heard, valued, and empowered. Our Youth Voice plays a key role in this: offering insights, sharing ideas, and championing what matters to young people in our community.

It’s a space where creativity, leadership, and lived experience come together to influence how we work and how we support the next generation of theatre‑makers and audiences.

What Youth Voice does

Youth Voice members get involved in a range of activities, which may include:

  • Contributing to conversations about programming, access, and the young people’s experience at the Marlowe
  • Taking part in creative projects and collaborative decision‑making
  • Meeting theatre professionals and gaining behind‑the‑scenes insights
  • Developing skills in leadership, communication, and teamwork
  • Helping us imagine and build a theatre that truly reflects its young audiences
  • Youth Voice also enjoys opportunities such as training sessions, workshops, and trips to some of our world-class performances.

Who can join

If you’re aged 14–21 and passionate about making theatre the best it can be for young people, Youth Voice could be for you. We welcome young people from all backgrounds, with all levels of experience — whether you’re a regular theatregoer, a performer, a creative, or simply someone with ideas to share.

Get involved

Youth Voice is an ongoing programme, and we’re always excited to hear from young people who want to take part. If you’d like to know more, express interest in joining, or find out when the next meeting is, please get in touch with us.
