Writers’ Room: The Shed

Part of the Writers' Room Festival.

Written by Charles Orrell.

“There are only three certainties in life. Death, taxes… and sand.”

In a faded seaside town, the council’s once-famous Promenade Gardens face an uncertain future. When the job-threatened gardeners are joined by a student, his presence causes them to confront their own dreams and disappointments.

A tender and funny debut play by Charles Orrell.

The Shed was developed as part of the Marlowe Theatre Writers’ Room Advanced Playwriting course.
