Ordinary Decent Criminal

The revolution isn’t dead. It’s just sleeping.

Set in the years following the Strangeways Prison Riot, Ordinary Decent Criminal introduces you to Frankie, a recovering addict trying to rebuild his life.

Played by renowned political comedian Mark Thomas, Frankie finds himself entering the brave new world of a liberal prison experiment.

Inside, he meets a cast of fellow convicts and discovers none are as they seem. In the most unexpected of places he discovers: the revolution is not dead. It’s just sleeping.

A new play from the writer of Fringe First winning England & Son and A Political History of Smack & Crack, Ed Edwards tells a tale of freedom, revolution and messy love. Directed by Charlotte Bennett.
