Marlowe Academy of the Performing Arts

DNA

Our year 13 MAPA students perform Dennis Kelly’s gripping play for their final assessment.

In the woods, far from the gaze of the town, a group of teenagers have done something terrible. They panic and together attempt to cover up their actions. Yet, when the tragic consequences of their actions begin to bring harmony to their community, how can they ignore their secret shared guilt?

DNA by Dennis Kelly (Matilda the Musical), was originally commissioned as part of the National Theatre’s Connections Project. The success of the play continued with many acclaimed professional productions and the text is now studied as part of the GCSE English curriculum.

Join us in celebrating the talent and skills our UAL students have worked so hard to cultivate over the last two years by working with professional directors and practitioners at the Marlowe Theatre, as well as academic tuition at Canterbury College.
