The Alternative Comedy Show

With a headline set from award-winning screenwriter, actress and touring comedian Alison Spittle, join us for this celebration of comic ideas and originality.

Alison Spittle is co-creator and co-presenter of the BBC sounds podcast Wheel of Misfortune with Kerry Katona, a regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist and creator and star of The Alison Spittle Show as well as television series Nowhere Fast. She has also been seen on Celebrity Gogglebox, Richard Osman’s House of Games, Pointless Celebrities, and as a judge for the BBC New Comedy Awards.

Alison will be joined by multi-award-winning comedian, composer and content creator Lou Wall, whose 2020 film Lousical the Musical swept the Green Room Awards winning Best Production, Best Writing and Outstanding Online Achievement in Cabaret.

We will also be treated to a set from Entertainment Now award-winner Will Owen. Will’s debut Edinburgh Fringe show, Like, Nobody’s Watching, was a hit with critics and audiences alike. It received multiple five-star reviews.

MCing the evening will be Toussaint Douglass, whose innovative brand of stand up mixes the personal with the political, whilst adding a uniquely absurdist slant to brilliant comic effect.
