Live at the Marlowe returns in January with a headline set from critically acclaimed stand up comedian Jen Brister.
Currently on tour with a sell-out show, Jen has been seen on hit shows such as Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and Hypothetical and has been described as ‘furiously funny’ by The Guardian. A regular performer on the UK and international comedy circuits Jen has also written and performed on BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, The Now Show and presented for BBC 6 Music.
Winner of English Comedian of the Year and the Birmingham Breaking Talent Award, Josh Pugh will also feature. Known for his frequent viral hit videos such as ‘Inventing the four cheese pizza’, Josh has written on shows including Never Mind the Buzzcocks and The Emily Atack Show as well as appearing in sitcom Sneakerhead and shows such as QI, Hypothetical and Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza.
Fresh off a huge sell-out UK tour, rising star and Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee Paddy Young will also be joining the line up. Chortle’s most recent Best Newcomer winner, Paddy has also been seen on the Stand Up Sketch Show, the BBC New Comedy Awards and his online sketches (with Ed Night), have over 100 million views and were even recommended in Stewart Lee’s newsletter.
This hilarious evening will be hosted by award-winning comedian, actor and broadcaster, Aurie Styla. Star of BBC Radio 4 and winner of the Spirit of the (Edinburgh) Fringe Award in 2022, Aurie had appeared on shows such as Richard Osman’s House Of Games, Deep Fake Neighbour Wars, Comedy Central Live, and his personable and direct-to-consumer approach to delivering comedy, has amassed over 700k dedicated followers & 100’s of millions of video views across his social media platforms.
