Housekeeping Supervisor
The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury is one of this country’s most successful large-scale independent theatres. We present a year-round programme of national touring productions across a range of artforms including theatre, dance, opera and music, in our 1,200-seat Main House and we develop and present work in our 150-seat Studio. Supporting artists, engaging with our communities and developing the creative lives of the next generation are central to our mission to be the engine house for the performing arts in our region and to shape the spirit of Kent.
There’s never been a better time to join our team. Our investment in our loyalty strategy has ensured that we have consistently strong and engaged audiences for our varied programme. We’ve also received recognition from our industry, winning a Stage Award for our innovative approach to supporting the theatre sector and a Workforce Award from UK Theatre for our investment in our People Plan, ensuring our high calibre team are rewarded and supported.
We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor.
You will have to support the Housekeeping Manager in supervising the Housekeeping Team, ensuring the Marlowe Trust premises are always clean and presented to the highest standards. You will need to be a collaborative and proactive team player, a great communicator and be organized with an eye for detail. The Marlowe Theatre’s performances happen mostly in the evenings and at weekends. To deliver the best service to our customers, all our posts require early morning, evening, and weekend working, including bank holidays.
We want to work with people who are passionate about their work, resilient in the face of any challenge that comes their way and supportive of their colleagues.
The Marlowe Theatre is an inclusive employer. We value difference and recruit by merit based on fair and open competition. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds regardless of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other aspect which makes them unique.
