A Marlowe Theatre production

Nora: A Doll's House

A chance to see students from the Marlowe Academy of Performing Arts in their final assessment production.

Written by Stef Smith after Henrik Ibsen

Nora is the perfect wife and mother, everything always in its place. But when a secret from her past comes back to haunt her, her life rapidly unravels.

This radical retelling reframes Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House in three time periods, intertwining the fight for women’s suffrage to pose the question: how far have we really come?

MAPA is an accredited two-year Further Education course for 16 to 19-year-olds, co-created and delivered with Canterbury College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group.

An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books

Recommended 14yrs+
Please note this is an intense drama featuring adult themes, including discussions of suicide, domestic entrapment, and emotional distress, making it unsuitable for younger children
