A multidisciplinary work exploring the themes of ritual, retelling and survival.
Beginning with the ancient ritual of the Passover feast, Seder explores the rituals of retelling. It explores how we share our survival stories and asks how we can hold space for others to tell their own.
Equal parts joyful and harrowing, Seder incorporates contemporary dance, breakdance, jazz drumming, otherworldly sound, physicality and poetry to create an immersive performance-world that is awe-inspiring, challenging and totally unique. Seder is a development of the spoken-word theatre form, exploring how text can exist like any other player on the stage: not ubiquitous, not continuous, but always impactful and essential.
