In The Company Of Others
Take a sneak-peek at the development of a new production from our resident company, PROJEKT EUROPA.
You are invited to an exclusive sneak peek of PROJEKT EUROPA’s new trilogy We Are The Stories, to see an excerpt of what they’ve been working on and speak directly to the artists.
Come join us for an informal Q&A led by artistic director Maria Aberg, and a chance to see this work-in-progress before anyone else.
We Are The Stories is a trilogy of work created in conversation with migrant communities of Canterbury and Kent. These projects explore the boundaries between participation, co-creation and performance to create generous and big-hearted work drawing on lived experience of local audiences.
The project featured in this sharing is In The Company Of Others, which is being created by Canadian-born dance maker Laïla Diallo, working with Venezuelan artist Ania Varez and local communities to explore ideas of edges and borders and our relationship to difference, ambiguity and change.
Work-in-progress sharings of the other parts of this trilogy are also available to book now.
Feast: Ingredients Of Us, directed by Polish theatre maker Agnieszka Blonska and developed with video designer Gillian Tan. This piece is a participatory celebration and an invitation to a feast of childhood memories, family relationships and communal experiences.
Let Your Hands Sing In The Silence is directed by Maria Aberg, made in collaboration with Slovakian actor Robert Luckay. This piece is a collaboration with community groups to expand one man’s personal family tree and co-create a communal past.
