Work at the Marlowe Theatre

Would you like to join our award-winning team?

There has never been a better time to join our team.

We are one of the country’s most successful independent theatres, with a 1,200-seat Main House and 150-seat Studio, presenting a year-round programme of national touring productions across a range of art forms, including theatre, dance, opera and music, to nearly 400,000 audience members every year. We launched Marlowe Theatre Productions in 2025 and are now producing high-quality drama for the UK’s mid- to large-scale touring circuit, alongside a series of small-scale family musicals commissioned from exciting early-career creatives.

Our mission is to be the engine house for the performing arts in Kent and to shape the spirit of our region. We do this by supporting artists, engaging with our communities and developing the creative lives of the next generation.

You’ll join a creative and ambitious team that champions ideas and gives you the chance to grow your career while shaping the future of the performing arts. We value our team, and our award-winning People Plan is there to ensure that everyone who works for us is rewarded and supported.
