Jake Lambert headlines our unmissable night of live comedy.

Our hugely popular night of live comedy is back, featuring some of the country’s biggest stars of the future.

Headlining is “joke machine” (The Telegraph) Jake Lambert – a rapidly rising stand-up known for his non-stop gag-filled storytelling. His online videos have racked up over 500 million views, building Jake a devoted fanbase. Following three sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jake embarked on his very first international tour with his show The Sunshine Kid, playing to sold-out audiences across the UK and globally. As seen on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, Channel 4’s David Baddiel: Cat Man, Comedy Central’s Live from the Comedy Store and Comedy Central Live, UKTV’s Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza, and was a recurring guest on BBC’s The Apprentice: You’re Fired.

Our host for the evening is the hilarious Michael Akadiri. As well as performing comedy, Michael works as a resident doctor in the NHS and is currently on a sabbatical from his surgical training. His medical background means he’s also in demand as a health commentator, appearing both on TV (BBC Two’s Newsnight), radio (LBC & Times Radio) and print (The Guardian’s opinion column). Michael’s 2022 Edinburgh Fringe debut was a huge success, his show No Scrubs sold out it’s run and culminated in a nomination for the Biggest Award in Comedy. He can also be seen performing at festivals and featuring on Comedy Central LIVE (Comedy Central), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Channel 4’s Stand Up to Cancer, Capital Xtra’s Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4’s Loose Ends, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Comedy Club and stand-up on Radio 4’s Fred at the Stand.
