Tuesday

Towers School And Sixth Form perform a brand-new play as part of National Theatre Connections.

An ordinary Tuesday turns very weird indeed when a tear rips across the sky over the school yard. Some pupils and staff disappear into the rip, while at the same time, a whole new set of people rain down. That’s what happens when parallel worlds collide!

Confusion reigns as the ‘Us’ and ‘Them’ try to work out what is going on.

As the air starts to disagree with ‘Them’, the race is on to try to get things back to how they were and safely return everyone to the universe they came from.

Alison Carr is a playwright and radio dramatist. Her plays include The Last Quiz Night On Earth for Box of Tricks on UK tour; Caterpillar (shortlisted for the Theatre503 Playwriting Award 2016) and Iris (winner of the Journal Culture Awards 2017 Writer of the Year) at Live Theatre, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Other theatre credits include Hush for Paines Plough, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and Gate, Notting Hill and Can Cause Death for the National Theatre.

Suitable for all ages.
Contains discussion of the death of a character (unseen, offstage).
