The Bold Knights Of Britain
A raucous dark comedy about what it means to be British.
How far would you go to protect your way of life?
This new play by the award-winning Joseph Wilde (Casualty, Cuddles) charts one family’s journey to the dark side of extremism.
Unemployed teenager Jayne sets out to join The Glorious Knights Of Britain, self-appointed guardians of the nation. They say the UK’s rulers are powerless to stop the immigrant “invasion” and are taking matters into their own hands.
They set Jayne on a quest that takes in the history of UK migration and a meeting with legendary King Arthur himself. Can she become the knight that Britain truly needs?
This brutal dark comedy has been made using interviews with former and current members of some of Britain’s most notorious far-right groups. It is produced by Hull’s Silent Uproar, the company behind the multi-award-winning A Super Happy Story (About Feeling Super Sad).
