WEBER Overture, Der Freischütz
WEBER Clarinet Concerto No. 1
BRAHMS Symphony No. 1

Enjoy a celebration of the clarinet with the Philharmonia Orchestra.

Conductor Nodoka Okisawa takes us back to the early Romantic era in this all-German programme. Der Freischütz is widely considered one of the first German operatic masterpieces, and Weber’s first clarinet concerto allows Michael Collins to demonstrate all that the clarinet has to offer. We finish this concert with Brahms’s Symphony No. 1, which is full of melting lyricism and dynamic expansion.
