The Trials Project
Amplifying the voices of young people across Kent.
In 2023, we have an incredible project taking place at The Marlowe. From Thursday 31 August – Saturday 2 September, we will be presenting the award-winning play The Trials by Dawn King. Set in the near future, it follows a jury of young people aged 12-17 who hold their elders to account for crimes against the planet.
As producers of the play, The Marlowe are looking to amplify the voices of young people across Kent in response to the climate crisis. Therefore, the young cast of 12 jurors, who will hold the stage alongside three adult defendants, will be drawn from local talent.
Auditions are currently underway, and we look forward to sharing more information with you soon.
