The Marlowe People's Company
These sessions engage those that want to explore their interest in theatre further and experiment with a range of performance techniques.
From Stanislavsky to Lecoq, the inter-generational group explores a wide range of dramatic techniques and how they can be applied to both text-based work and the process of devising. You will be introduced to an array of different texts – classical and contemporary – and have the opportunity to perform regularly.
Past Marlowe People’s Company productions include: Richard III in Canterbury Cathedral Crypt (2016), Stacked at The Marlowe Theatre (2016) and Politics Is Farce in The Marlowe Studio (2017).
"I joined because I had been part of youth theatres and drama groups when I was a teenager and wanted to get back into it. Part of the reason I like The Marlowe People's Company is that it is a community of people who are very friendly and supportive of each other. Also, the opportunity to build on my theatre skills with professional support and to perform in The Marlowe spaces is really very rewarding."Jasmine (27)
