Head of Operations
The Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury is one of this country’s most successful large-scale independent theatres, with a 1,200-seat Main House, a 150-seat Studio and The Marlowe Kit, home to our thriving Youth Company.
We present a year-round programme of touring theatre, musicals, dance, opera, music and comedy.
We also produce theatre for and with the communities of Kent and support regional artists and theatre-makers. Our mission is to be the engine house for the performing arts in our region and to shape the spirit of Kent.
We are looking for an exceptional manager to join us as Head of Operations.
This new senior management position will lead our customer service and building service operations and will drive our ambitions to reduce our environmental impact through the theatre’s operations.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring team leader, entrepreneurial and a strategic thinker.
We want to work with people who are passionate about their work, resilient in the face of any challenge that comes their way and supportive of their colleagues.
The Marlowe is an inclusive employer. We value difference and recruit by merit based on fair and open competition. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and from all sectors. We are particularly keen to hear from Black and Asian candidates, candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds, and those who identify as D/deaf or disabled.
We are a Creative Green organisation and are committed to taking action on climate change and environmental sustainability.
